I also think that liquidating that account today would be/was a very prudent thing to do with the intent of trying to preserve the value of those funds for all in what looks to be a rough equities market condition.

Jamie and I had an appointment at the probate office today, Friday, May 23rd, at 9:00am.   We got everything we needed from the probate office to start the requirements of Daddy's probate of his estate which should end by February 5, 2009.   Directly, you will be receiving the "Information to Heirs and Devisees" form via U.S. Mail.  Please file this for your records as we are required to send you this notification and have it notorized and recorded at the court house within 30 days.  You need to do nothing other than receive this form.  This will be your formal notification that the estate is now open. Please confirm receipt of your notification to me at my e-mail address,  johna at silverfoxtennis.com <mailto:johna at silverfoxtennis.com> .   As we proceed, we will send notification to you with each step in the Estate process.   
  
Daddy's and Mother's dream will now come true, and that was to leave each of us with something at the time of their passing.  We are so blessed to have had such guidance and people who cared for us all.
