     Thanks for the best wishes from everyone.  The cablemodem is working but with problems.  They are going to come out and look at it again.  I am not getting full speed.  When I run that speakeasy test, it comes out very slow.  

     On top of that, it periodically wipes the IP address from my Cisco 831 router.  When that happens, I am off the Internet.  I've tried rebooting the router with no success.  But when I reboot the cablemodem, it gives the router an IP address.    

     I'm hoping they swap out the cablemodem.  

     I don't know when they will show up but I should be home convalescing when they do.  

     I'm still not having pain even though the surgeon believed I would.  I have the pain medicine by my bed, but I won't use it unless I have to.  

     Have a good one.  And be sure to say a prayer for Bill.

good luck with your surgery fred.  and also with your phone and modem.  the
days will wain long if you don'thave any toys to play with while you are
recovering.
