Fred,

I had no pain either.  I took 2 advil at bedtime the first and second night 
for fear I'd wake up sore because I tend to sleep on my side -- right on top 
of the injured knee -- but I didn't really need it.  You may not either.  I 
did have minor pain the first time and used the percoset I was given only to 
discover I was allergic to it.  I ended up only using advil when needed. 
BTW, I also didn't use the crutches they sent home with me this time around. 
Last time I did, but this time I just started walking.  I had the nurses 
stunned when I got up out of my wheelchair and walked very easily to my van 
5 feet away.  Of course I had my doctor stunned when I fully bent my knee 
with virtually no pain at my one week followup.

One problem with healing fast -- the family thinks you can do things you're 
not really ready to do so you don't get spoiled long enough. :-)
