Hi All,
I went in Saturday the 12th and had a bunch of scans and was released the
following Tuesday. I had a mild stroke not just a TIA. My wireless heart
monitor picked up six strange beats so a cardiologist was brought in. I
went to his practice, had another scan then a chemical stress test which I
thought was worse than a treadmill job but less physical effort. They found
that my heartbeat was very slow so they may take me off on of my BP meds and
will check the effects of the change. I also went to occupational therapy
to work on my lack of strength and poor fine motor control of my left hand.
I'm a southpaw and am in trouble if I can't make it work correctly. I want
to be able to hand print and sign my name again as well as properly handle a
dog which is always done in the ring on the left side. My wire recorder
restoration project is also sidelined because good hand control is a must
for troubleshooting live tube (valve) circuits that operate at 300 volts or
more.
I'm generally fine, can walk and talk normally, don't slobber or drool, can
dress and prepare food and can even fumble with a keyboard. I'm not cleared
to drive onroad yet but can operate yard and farm equipment.
Bill in SC
