There is probably no technical solution to the spam problem.  As soon 
as the white hats
figure out a new approach, the black hats find a way around it.  I 
get a pile of stuff
every day that's marked [SPAM]  in the subject line by my ISP; my 
software filters toss
it in the junk pile, along with some of the things my own filters 
manage to trap.  All
in all, they probably manage to toss a bit over half of it without it 
ending up in my IN
box for manual elimination.
