Re: [Mishmash] Have a great TurkeyWe seem to have evolved to where weddings and no longer about marriage, but about a sometimes days long party. We now have the wedding reception preceeded by the "rehersal dinner" ( which has gone from suppoer for those rehersing to a sit down pre-wedding major event) followed by the post-reception breakfast!

What bothers me the most is that the real important event . . . the wedding, seems to have gotten lost. The only thing that matters the day my daughter gets married is what happens in the church . . . one rreason we're setting it up to you can't "skip" the church and just go to the reception after.

    Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, 10 years Ingrid, and I knew you before the birth wow!, sounds like Dirk is a great person, hope you get to see South Africa, I really wish him well. Hugh I'm so please for your family you must be so proud with good reason, weddings are so much fun, hard work but thats all part of it.


  With birthday parties in Tasmania some families parties are getting out of hand,  I still prefer the home made ones with lots of good old active fun and games.
