I alternate between a) walling the place in and letting them kill off each other; B) taking back all of the refineries and infrastructure western companies built and letting them keep the oil alone, and c) building a 10' wall around the whole place and flooding it.

Well, almost.
I don't think the Japanese were rational during World War II.
But we broke them. Remember what it took to do it?
I'm not advocating nuclear weapons as in that case. But until their will is broken them, nothing is going to change with them.

In reality the story is about a clash of cultures that differ by about 1,000 years of development and evolution, arrogance, and human trash. You can try to be as :pc: as you want . . . this is a "religion" and "ulture" that thinks nothing of women, thinks less of life itself, and condons acts that are by any moral standard wrong.
People ask why we can't put an end to violence in Iraq and the answer is in the Balkins. The only thing a bankrupt culture can do when left free is fight and kill. You can't rtionalize with people who are not rational.

actually these people want to rule over us - not live side by side with us. has any one been watching the terrorist specials on fox and glenn beck's cnn program? terrible people - and i think it's much more of the population than we are being told by the regular network news people who act as tho there are no terrorists - except bin laden of course because we haven't caught him.

no not at all I find it really horrible and I wouldn't condone
anything like that, it really highlights the moral difference in the
way these people think. To have to explain to the parents on what we
consider right and them not understanding what is wrong with his
behaviour is really just so beyond my comprehension. What it brings
out in the story to me is that this race of people just accept
horrible behaviour as normal. It is frightening because in their
minds they don't see anything wrong and these people want to live
side by side with us.
