My heart goes out to you and your family. Watching someone so young die from a disease makes one feel very powerless. I know that you are all very close and that loving support will get you, and particulalry, Alex, through this.

Sending hugs,
Ingrid

My daughter's bried marriage was probably the worst 6 months of my life . . . watching Kevin die, and Alex (who is a microbiologist and so knew too much) try to work to save him.

Kevin's slide started on their honeymoon!

    Hugh,

I'm so sorry to read about Alexandria's husband. Crohn's disease is horrible. I have a friend who has it, but seems to be managing well. Of course, I haven't heard from her in quite some time. I think it's time to check in with her.

It sure does sound like you and Lorraine have become marriage experts. I may be contacting you in 20+ years for help. ;-)

      Hey Gale!

What a neat way to return to "standard time" . . . a name from the past.

Welcome back . . . we're still here but have become a bit of a quiet group.

You caught us up on your life . . . maybe if we all follow along we can kick start the old chatter.

Since you and I had dinner those years ago, three of my five children have married . . . the oldest with two sons of his own, the second son a year ago, and my older daughter (Alexandria) just last December. Her marriage only laster five months . . .her husband died in May from Chrones.

My second daughter and one of my two foster children are engaged . . . you might get the idea we have become wedding planning "pro's" and I guess we have. All of the kids live within a couple of miles of us here on Long Island.

On the business side I've become more mobile than ever . . . I seem to shuttle between Barcelona, London, Honolulu, and (of all places) Winston, NC.

OK, so who else is out there to catch Gale (sans thingy) up with us?

      Hugh
