[Mishmash] When Wrong Is Right

When I was a teenager, one of the local newspapers had a tradition . . .
they would pay anyone who found a spelling or grammatical error in the
newspaper $5.00. And that was the New York Daily News . . . not known as a
literary leader!
The other day I was sitting in a hotel room watching the Weather Channel,
and they reported (complete with graphics) that 37% of the state of Georgia
was under "Extreme Droute" conditions, and 77% under "Severe" droute
conditions.
When I asked through email what part of North Carolina had been annexed by
Georgia to make up the additional 14%, the first response I got was from
someone titling themselves as a producer. She asked me to better explain my
question. When I did the response was that those were the actual numbers as
reported by the state, and they (the weather channel) was not responsible
for inaccurate information it reported.
Makes one want to vote for a law requiring an IQ test before letting people
breed!
