This is the favorite of the most contemporary Christmas stories.  It stars Susan Lucci as Elizabeth Scrooge (Ebbie Scrooge for short).  

She has a female assistant named Roberta Cratchit played by Wendy Crewson (Roberta has a handicapped son named Tim).  

Her dead partner is Jake Marley (played by Jeffery Demunn who really outdid himself in the part).  

It's a modern day version of A Christmas Carole and I think that Charles Dickens would have been proud.  

You really should see it.
