By the way, David,
What does 'Pommy' mean?

Hi Fred
I think ginger beer is actually a Pommy thing that we adopted. Real ginger beer is good stuff.
Ginger nut biscuits are hard with a strong ginger taste. They are great dunked in a cup of tea.
Arnott's was a famous Australian brand. It had an Eastern Rosella as its logo. A very pretty parrot. It was taken over by an American company some years back which I guess is why their products are appearing on your shelves. Look out for iced vovos. These are little biscuits with a stripe of raspberry jam and two stripes of strawberry icing, all sprinkled with coconut. My favourites.
Cheers
David

Folks,
I had my first taste of Australian Ginger Beer at our Australian Bakery Cafe here in Marietta, Georgia. It is the Australian alternative to our ginger ale. And I must say that I like their ginger beer better than ginger ale.
I also got some cookies made by Arnott's called Ginger Nut. I love the taste of them but they are a bit hard to bite into. Perhaps Leanne, Robyn, or David could tell me if this is normal for those cookies or not.
They have a bunch of Arnott's products on their shelves.
Regards,
Fred
