I agree overall with one reservation.  Muslim, Christian, Jew,
Callithumpian?  I don't think it matters a hoot.  I think (hope?) that 
most
people want to live in peace.  My limited experience is that the Bible 
and
its equivalents basically preach love and good will to others.  It is the
extremists that seem to get control of the agenda and selectively quote 
and
mislead gullible people into inhuman acts.  

 
the koran doesn't teach love and good will to others - it teaches death 
to non-muslims and anyone who won't convert to islam.  I don't know 
whether it orignally  focused on Christians and Jews  but it certainly 
does now.

I don't believe that the muslims in our countries who are keeping quiet 
do so out of fear of retailiation by the extremists - I believe they do 
it out fear of letting non-muslims in Canada, the U.S., Australia, etc., 
know they agree with the terrorists tactics and are just biding their 
time until they can turn our countries in muslim states.
