<<HUGH!!!  If you're out there!  I got my first taste of New York City a couple of weeks ago.  My twin sister moved to the upper east side of Manhatten 18 months ago and then moved to Roosevelt Island last summer.  I finally made it there for a long weekend.  It was all I'd hoped for and hope to get back there when I can spend a little more time walking around and taking in the sights.  My weekend there was on a tourist visa.  The most valuable lesson I learn was take the $15 cab ride from Roosevelt Island and NOT the $35 Limo ride.  If I can make it there again in the somewhat near future maybe we can meet for dinner again.

Freezing here in Michigan.  Glad to be back.  More later

Be sure to use only the legitimate Yellow (actually orange) with medallion numbers. 
Others may be unlicensed "gypsy" cabs in questionable condition with even more questionable drivers.  Limos can be good deals for groups but watch out for the unmarked vans because I've had a couple of unpleasant experiences with them despite catching them at the LGA airport and the Sheraton Towers.
