I bet there are some other mish'ers who have some childhood stories to
share if they would.

Linda

Linda - My Dad raised chickens when my brother and I were small. My
brother was always eating the chicken feed out of the troughs - when Mum
took him to the doctor about it, the doctor told her there was something
in the feed his body was lacking and the feed wouldn't hurt him so not
to worry about. Can you imagine what the reaction would be today - no
doubt child welfare services would be involved!

Discounting muislage in grade one, the worst thing I can remember eating
myself (though I recall it was delicious) was the red salt licks my Dad
put out for the cows - red ones tasted better than the blue ones, BTW.
My brother and I would knock a corner off a salt lick from out in the
field, climb into an old buggy that was stored in the barn, and chow
down!

Susan
