Hey, it happens all the time. People confuse action with fear, and forget that sinc the days of mayor Rudy NYC has been one of the safest and cleanest places in earth.

And . . . now I know who caused that mess at the stadium last Friday. At least you can now get a sense why it is called the cathedral of baseball.

To Hugh and anyone else on this list or anyone out there I've offended.

I've spent my entire life hating New York City. Fear mostly. Why would anyone want to live there and be shot at each day on your way to work and back?

I had the chance last January to visit my twin sister Gay Ann there for 3 days. I believe I mentioned that on here. And I just spent 4 days this past weekend there as well. She lives on Roosevelt Island between Manhattan and Queens. I only wish I had the $4000 a month for rent it takes to live there.

We took the subway to the Bronx Friday night to watch the Yankees. The giveaway at the stadium that night was my very own official Yankees baseball cap. Now what the HELL am i suppose to do with that?????? I sat politely while Seattle killed the Yankees and smiled. But only to myself.

After the game subways back and walked through Times Square. I didn't feel threatened at all. The nuts were out, but not in a threatening way. And a lot of really good people were out too.

Saturday afternoon we took in an off off off off off broadway play my niece was the assistant director of. It closed Saturday night so i don't have to recommend you NOT see it. It had to do with a brother and sister lusting and acting on that lust for each other. And it's not the kind of play you want to see when you're sitting next to your twin sister. Uncomfy to say the least.

After the play we went to an Italian Place on 45th and 9th for dinner. Our waiter was an elderly gentleman about 5' tall and 350 lbs named Sebastian. Dinner was to die for. Sebastian sang for us. But we wished he hadn't.

Again we cruised Time Square and then walked back to the Tram on 60th Street to get back to Roosevelt Island.

Sunday my brother and I walked all over. In the afternoon along with our sister we met our niece at the Jewish Pride Parade and then strolled along Central Park. My brother and i had our picture taken with a Statue of Liberty mime and that's available for the asking.

When my sister moved to NYC almost 2 years ago we were sure we'd never see her alive again. In fact I think living there has actually made her more alive and I can now see clearly why it has. She loves the entire experience. I'M the one who needed to open my eyes.

So to Hugh or anyone else. I'm sorry.

  Gale
