[Mishmash] The Sociopath Next Door

    I just finished reading a rather interesting book.  It is entitled, 'The Sociopath Next Door'.  

    A sociopath is a person who has no conscience.  

    It offers professional insight into the behavior of one in twenty-five persons in society.  

    It was written by Dr. Martha Stout.  

    A very significant thing it points out about sociopathic behavior is that they want you to feel pity for them.  It is your own pity that is used to allow them to exploit you.  

    After reading it, I look back at a number of people that I knew from years ago.  In retrospect, I can see that they were sociopaths.  

    Very well written and very informative.  If you read it, let me know what you think about it.
