As Fred added, Southerners say "Fergit, Hell!"

I was profoundly affected by these horrible images.  I was in the back yard when Ann called me in after the first plane hit.  I saw the big hole and said, "Damn, that sure wasn't any little Cesna."  When the second plane hit I bellowed, "That son of a bitch bin Laden!!" - sadly I was correct.

I have personal positive feelings for NYC anyway because I'd been for meetings there in some recent years plus I'm a retired rural volunteer fireman.

I was not in NYC at the time of the attack but I was able to visit a fire station near my hotel 363 days later and visited the Ground Zero hole 364 days later.

There's an almost spooky private connection because I'd been fascinated with Enya's "Only Time" that was very popular preceding this attack.  Ann and Josh gave me her CD for my birthday following 9/11 and that's all I had wanted at the time.

Most of the steel beams for the memorial are being fabricated in Columbia SC and some will be on public display to allow the public to sign them.  I hope I don't miss the opportunity to add my name.

There was at least one ham doing repeater work in the antenna mast when it went down so here's another very personal attack on us.
