* long hours
* relatively low pay
* all decision making requires concensue of non-peers
* full disclosure of everything down to your childhood neighbor's boxer short size
* no true vacation
* the inability to go anywhere or do anything alone . . . ever.

No wonder we can't attract anyone with a functioning brain to want to live in the white house.
