    It was set not to allow uploads or downloads.  So what you experienced was what you should have experienced.  

    Thanks, that tells me a lot about the problem I'm experiencing with that FTP server.

    The server forcibly closed the connection.

    This normally results from a loss of the connection due to a timeout or a server reboot.
