[Mishmash] "misinformation" policing

Susan - - - There were two reasons Obama gotelected (in my mind, anyway).
First, the Republicans ran McCain . . . a weak option.

More important the US press held Obama sacred and, as the press is no longer
news but rather entertainment, held him sacred. You can do that if you are a
commentator . . . not if you are a reporter.

Oh, and there is a third. Our 20+ years of feel good education has led to a
whole generation of voters who think the opinions of actors and sports
figures somehow count.

That's socialism for you! Obama certainly appears to be anti-democratic and
I believe the fear that he'll be dipping deep into the pockets of those with
money to share the weath are legitimate. He's 7 months into his presidency
and people are protesting en masse - not a very auspicious beginning.

Thanks for confirming that, Hugh. Hitler and his socialist party also had
supporters and they wern't taken seriously enough and the world looked the
other way for too long - and the darkest days in the history of mankind
resulted. Although I don't see a holocaust recurring, the total
restructuring of your society is feasible when you look at how quickly
Obama is changing the landscape. History has known to repeat itself - you
folks have to be vigilant.

How did such a radical socialist ever get elected - and in the United States
of all places? Come hell or high water - or public protests - he is ramming
that "Obamacare" bill through in September - all his fancy pre-election
rhetoric about non-partisanship and everyone working together for the good
of the country seems to have been just that - rhetoric.
