Hugh,
Why don't you just come out and visit Las Cruces? Then you could enjoy this weather and see the Organ Mountains in person.
I can recommend a very nice hotel that has a very modest weekly rate. I stayed there for a month when I first moved to the area.
We don't have a commercial airport. You have to fly into El Paso and drive west on I-10 for about forty miles into New Mexico to get here.
And there is plenty to do here. I recommend you don't drive over into Mexico, though. The drug cartels are having their drug wars and people are being popped off left and right. If you stay on the U.S. side of the border, you don't see much of it.
Regards,
Fred

It is 18 degrees here in New York with a predicted high of 24.
If I had not had a great day at the theater and NYC restaurant yesterday, I'd probably hate you!!!!
Wait a minute . . . 76-24 gives me 52 reasons to either do that or book two seats to San Juan.
Calling Delta now.
Hugh

Hello, everyone,
Good morning from Las Cruces.
It is 71 degrees at 5:32 AM. They are predicting a high of 76 degrees today.
I hope everyone is staying warm. If not, come and pay a visit to Las Cruces.
Have a great day.
