[Mishmash] Amarillo

Folks, 

      I am at the bus terminal in Amarillo, Texas waiting for my connecting bus to Little Rock (I will have to burn my shoes since they will touch Clinton Soil).  From there I will connect to a bus going to Memphis.  

      I will get a rental car in Memphis.  Then I will visit my first niece (Melissa) and my newborn second great-nephew (Grant).  

     Then I am going to drive across Tennessee on I-40 to Asheville, NC.  I will stop in Knoxville for a short visit with my first cousin before continuing to Asheville to visits some friends there.  

     I will drive down I26 to Columbia, SC where I will be staying with my brother (John).  My second niece (Christie) lives there, too.  I will get to meet my first great-nephew (Zachary) and my third great-nephew (Jayden).  Zachary is two years old and Jayden is also a newborn.  

     I'll visit some other friends in and around Columbia.  Then I will drive through Atlanta and see some friends and relatives there.  I'm going to spend the night in Gadsden, Alabama and try to meet some friends for a burger.  Then I will drive back to Memphis to catch the bus back to Las Cruces.  

     I will take the bus to Dallas and connect to a bus going to Big Springs, Texas.  I'll connect there to go to El Paso.  

     Then I have a dreaded five hour layover until I leave for Las Cruces.  I should arrive home on New Year's Day.  

     Everyone have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  And I don't care if that is politically incorrect.
