[Rebels1972] Cap and Gown

Pat,
I hadn't heard that Tony Randall had passed away.
I think his most memorable performance was 'The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao'.
He played all of the seven characters in the circus.
I agree with you that that is very unfair to the child.
Well, when my sister had her wedding, everyone had to be in a tux to be
in it. In fact at first, she said everyone at the wedding had to wear them.
Of course, that didn't last long. I was there and in the audience. But I
didn't wear a tux.
In some cultures, the dress you described is acceptable. But most
places I've lived it wouldn't fly. In Washington, never in a million years.
I only attended a couple of weddings while I was in Washington. And here in
this rural part of Western North Carolina, I'm not sure. But if it was
someone from the faculty of the local University, well... You've got to
understand those academia types to follow what I'm saying.
At any rate, have a great day.
Fred

kidding. Look at some of the "MOVIE STARS", they have kids at all ages.
Tony Randall and his thirty year old wife had a child when he was 72. To me
that is so unfair to the child, he will never know his father. Only the
man that marries his mother. As a matter of fact Tony died last year. I
tjink the kid was 4. Imaybe wrong about the age.

> Dont worry about fitting into a tux tis not a requirment, a nice suit
will do. My son was on a mission trip back on May to the hills of Kentucky.
While he was there he was asked to attend a local wedding. The groom was in
his best tshirt and shorts; while the bride was adorned in her best halter
top and short shorts.
> He told us they weren't quiet 'daisy dukes' but they were short. This
was not a planned 'hillbilly' wedding , it was just all they could
afford.. BUT its not how you dress, it is the commitment that counts.

school in SC that I graduated from (quite a let down after having been a
fighting Rebel). Fortunately, I've got a lady here in the department that
is going to make sure I don't make any dumb mistakes when I put it on. But
all we are going to do is sit on the side and be their supporting
professors. We walk in together, sit down together, and sit through 450
names being called. After that, we all go home for the weekend.

I'm always glad to hear from my Rebel friends.
