I think that's a great idea.  Could you contact a report from the paper and speak to him about the reunion, what was done for Pat, etc.
He could write the article and you supply the photos.

  I had an idea that I think would be nice but I'm not the best letter writer.  The Gadsden Times has been filled with articles lately honoring Rip Reagan and they have really plugged the events that have honored him lately.  I think that it would be nice if a letter with picture could be sent to the Birmingham News that outlines the citations and achievements awards that Pat received so that the people that he lives around could recognize him.  Even if an article appears in the Gadsden Times, Birmingham people won't see it.  Maybe we could pass around some ideas here and someone with good letter writing skills could put it all together.  I could add a picture of two and we could send it in.  I'm sure that it would be published.
