Folks,

    You probably heard about our local fugitive that made America's Most
Wanted.  He was found dead today apparently having committed suicide with a
stolen gun.

    Woody Woodring was from around here.  He was on his fourth wife.
According to what I heard, he had a history of spousal abuse.  His third
wife was a native American and she was in the women's shelter at Cherokee.
According to what I heard, he went to the shelter and terrorized her.

    The fourth wife was in a shelter here in our community.  The guard was
not armed when Woodring arrived.  He wounded the guard and shot his fourth
wife to death.

    He's been the subject of a manhunt and was on America's most wanted.
