I got a real kick out of your letter.  My daughter, Anna is a junior at
Birmingham Southern College and is quite the culinary expert.  She is
interning at Highland's Bar and Grill with Frank Stitt, their famous chef.
Their food there is really fantastic, but I'm afraid I share your feelings
about eating at high-end restuarants.  Sometimes you feel like the other
patrons are wondering why you left your Rolex at home.  You also sometimes
pay high premiums and then leave hungry.  But, as I said, the food is
superb.  Glad you had a great time.

It is good to hear that everyone had a good Thanksgiving.  I did well
myself.  My older sister came from Tyler, Texas to visit and take me out to
eat.  It was my birthday gift from her.  We went to Ruth's Chris for
Thanksgiving and the next night she took me to Highlands Bar and Grill.
Highlands is a 5 star Restaurant noted on the food channel at times.  I
enjoyed getting to spend time with my sister most.  Sport coats are
requested at Highlands but all mine fit too soon so I wore a button front
shirt.  The waiter looked at me like I was rift raft and when I asked for
iced tea rather than wine he looked at me like I buying my clothes off the
rack! <laugh>  But I had lots to be thankful for . . . including yous guys.
