[Rebels1972] Emma Sansom Marker

Hey John Dale,
 
I don't feel slighted because I too did not order a DVD.  If I had, I would
have been disappointed that the band was not mentioned.  However, I also
know how difficult it would be to create a DVD about Emma Sansom and not
leave some group out.  If you paid close attention to the slideshow that I
made for the block party, you would notice that I put more emphasis on band
members than I did for sports members.  An Emma Sansom sports follower might
have felt slighted by my lack of attention to all the different sporting
teams.  Emma Sansom was different things to different people.  Although I
had friends that were from all different areas, I always knew from an early
age that I would be in the Marching Band.  When I remember Emma Sansom, I
remember the drum cadences as we entered the stadium, the battle of the
bands after a game, the long practices preparing for each performance and
all those gorgeous majorettes, flag and gun bears.  And I guess from my
perspective,......what more could you want???
 
Emma Sansom will live on in our hearts in different ways for each student
who roamed the halls.

As a former non-band member, I am sorry that you former band members feel
slighted.  I didn't order a DVD.  Anyway...  dear Ole' Emma still lives
strong in our hearts and memories.  Maybe there will be another Sansom Band
reunion and they can do a separate DVD.
