hello everyone,  long time no type.  we moved from Trussville to Attalla last year and it has been quite a culture shock.  I grew up in Gadsden but I think Attalla has been in a time warp.  nothing has changed very much,  but that is why we came back to this area to retire.    but thats enough about me.   
about three weeks ago I received a phone call from the grave.  LYNN ALLISON CALLED ME.  Since I had not heard from his mom,  I thought he must have died.  the last time I tried to talk to him he refused to speak to me or anyone else.  the doctors told him back in '05 that he had 6 months to live if that long.  so he sold everything he owned or gave it away to family and friends,  withdrew from all his friends and family and waited to die.  but guess what?  old Lynn was a lot tougher than the docs thought.  he is still kicking around,  he goes camping and fishing every day possible,  he even has a canoe that he uses.  everything is not as good as it sounds,  he has lost 65% of his lung use and is on O2 all the time.  he also told  me that he had a light stroke a year ago and has seizures on his right side so he cant use that side of his body.  he must have someone to help paddle the canoe so he has a friend that fishes with him.  
since this site was made up for old ESHS band members i thought you would like to know about Lynn.I realize that he quit band but he was in it for a long time in Jr High and then at ES.  he asked me to get in touch and let all know he was still .  if you would like to call him,  his number is 12564637731. he would love to hear from some of you.
