Dear Friends and '72 Classmates,
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you about the loss of another '72 classmate.
Joe Boman died several days ago after a lengthy illness.
You can read the obit below or check on the website and view his photo/ leave a note for
the family.
Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
I hope this email finds each of you well and enjoying a great summer.
FYI----Our 40th year class reunion is coming up in the year 2012. Yes, the 40th people!
We WILL be partying. This is official notice---get ready.

Joseph L. "Joe" Boman

Joseph "Joe" L. Boman passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010. A memorial was held Friday, July 2, 2010, at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, Kan. Kansas City Funeral Directors, Shawnee, Kan., was in charge.
Joe was born Nov. 17, 1953, in Gadsden. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Joe retired from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a bank liquidator. He moved and traveled with his wife and daughter throughout the states during his career.
Joe loved being with family and friends. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, music and riding motorcycles. His favorite places were the mountains and the beach.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stone, and Mrs. Dora Boman; and father-in-law, Mr. Bill Brown.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary A. Boman Sr., Destin, Fla.; his wife of 38 years, Cynthia (Cindy) Boman; and his daughter, Tara Boman, the light of his life and who he always called "Doll"; mother-in-law, Mrs. Bill Brown; sister, Denise Sykes; brother, Gary A. Boman Jr.; nieces and nephews, Tina and Michael Dixon, Angie Chambers, David and Amy Boman, Savannah, Lindsie and Victoria Sykes, Alyssa and Jackson Joiner, Charity and Tyler Chambers and Chad Dixon; and lifelong friends, David, Debbie, Kam and Charlie Staton.
With deep appreciation to Dr. Richard Morgan, Dr. Neil Erickson and Dr. Thad Stephens for all the love and wonderful care they gave to Joe for so many years. A special thanks to the Kansas City Hospice House and all of the staff who treated the end of his life with love, respect and dignity.
