Hey Fred,
Thanks so much for the phone call. I was on the way home from New Market,
Al with my daughter, her one week old baby and two Large dogs.
She and her husband transferred there on March 3rd and she had her baby on
April 20th. New Market is about 20 minutes north of Huntsville.
I was staying with them for several days when the storms hit and they hit
hard!
The entire north Alabama area is without power and probably will be for
weeks.
Many lives have been lost and I ask for prayers from everyone. We know
many people who have been personally touched by this disaster but God is The
Great Healer.
My family and I were untouched and I thank Him for that. My daughter and
son-in-law received no property damage either but their neighbors did.
He is a claims adjuster and will be staying in the Huntsville area for a
while then staying with us until they get power restored. Until then, we
get to enjoy our daughter and
new grandson.
Gadsden dodged an unbelievable bullet but the Tuscaloosa, Cullman and
Birmingham areas were not as lucky. Many places were demolished completely.
I am anxious to hear from Tony, Dale and others in these areas.
Take care and I will be praying for everyone.
