Folks, 

    I thought we might share a bit of Australian culture.  

    This is a wonderful Australian classic.  In fact, most Australians consider this to be the unofficial national anthem of Australia.  

    The gentlemen singing and playing guitar by the fire is Australia's beloved Slim Dusty.  He is as legendary a country singer in Australia as Johnny Cash is in the United States.  Regretfully, he passed away just a few years ago.  His career spanned many decades.  

    The poem that became this song was written by Australia's most loved poet, Banjo Paterson.  He also wrote the poem that inspired 'The Man >From Snowy River'.
