In the months since armed federal marshals raided Gibson guitar back in August, 2011, seizing computers, records as well as ebony and rosewood used in the manufacturing of guitars, the U.S. Attorney General has yet to file criminal charges against the guitar giant -- leaving them limping along in what some are calling "legal limbo."

Unable to purchase ebony and rosewood, Gibson has been forced to purchase less popular wood while other guitar manufacturers are still using ebony and rosewood.

Company officials blame the inactivity of the Department of Justice for putting them at a "market disadvantage". Calls, letters, and even counter suits have all been ignored by the DOJ that seems content to let Gibson slowly succomb to the pressures of an unlevel playing field.

Kathy, Grassfire Nation has been following this Obama-led assault on the free market since it first made headlines. In fact, we delivered more than 50,000 "I Stand with Gibson" petitions to both the guitar maker and the DOJ.

Having already signed our petition, you likely were part of these historic deliveries. But now it's important for free-market Americans to turn up the pressure on the DOJ and demand they take some sort of action against Gibson guitars -- either filing charges or dropping the allegations altogether.

Grassfire Nation is calling on those who stood with us in support of Gibson guitars to help us rally an additional 10,000 citizen signers.

What is happening to Gibson guitars by the Obama administration is a travesty, and we are counting on freedom-loving Americans to help us turn up the heat and force the DOJ to take some sort of action against Gibson.

Right now we are less than 10,000 petitions shy of reaching our goal of 75,000 petitions that will be gathered and hand-delivered directly to the DOJ -- each one demanding an end to this bizarre witch-hunt against a successful free-market enterprise.
