Folks,

As you know, I am somewhat of a fan of the Australians.

Here are some links to some great Australian music:

The girl singing in the first one is Judith Durham, who is the lead
singer for the Australian group 'The Seekers' of whom we've all heard
of. Some of their other songs were 'Georgy Girl', 'I'll Never Find
Another You', and 'A World of Our Own'. The last song in this
YouTube video is the Australian National Anthem (Advance Australia
Fair). Wouldn't it have been incredible to have been at the ballgame
(I'll bet that none of you knew that 'The Seekers' were an Australian
group)?

The man at the campfire in the second one is Slim Dusty. He is to
Australia as Johnny Cash is to the United States. He's an Australian
singing legend. He passed away just a few years ago. Like Johnny
Cash, he has an enormous number of hit songs behind him.

The next one is a famous Australian silly song. I think some of you
heard me sing the melody to it when we were at Outback Steakhouse a
few years ago. I remember the ladies giggling while I sang it.

The fourth one is a song that was an Australian medley of sorts (Do
You Come From The Land Down Under?). The singing group that
performed this suffered a lawsuit from the holders of the copyright
to the song 'Kookaburra' because they used a few bars from that song
in this one.

As you experience this, I think you will find that Australian music
is an incredible listening experience.

     Enjoy.

     Regards,

                                                 Fred
