Pressure to defund ObamaCare must come from outside the Beltway, said Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) during a recent appearance on "The Rush Limbaugh Show."

The Hill reports that Lee is among a strong contingent of GOP Senators using the month of August to "build a grassroots army" to fight the funding and implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

"There would be no way that you could fund ObamaCare unless you got some Republicans in the House and some Republicans in the Senate to vote for it," Lee said. "We're encouraging people to get behind this effort to communicate with their congressmen and their senators."
