Jesus hung on that old rugged cross and cried out, "Eli Eli Lama Sabachtani." That is to say, "My God My God, why have you forsaken me?" Who among us can understand those words from the only begotten son to his father in Heaven? Yes, the Word is very clear, God had forsaken His only son hanging on that cross. Why? You see, when Jesus hung on that cross, the sins of all the world, yours and mine, they were all upon him.

If God would have looked down at his only son hanging on the cross…What if that would have been your son, your daughter, your loved one, hanging on that cross? If you had the power that God has how many of you could have left your loved one hanging on that cross? I don't believe any of us could have. We don't want our loved ones to hurt. We would rather hurt for them than to see them in pain.

At birth, Miracle Joy weighed only one pound.  Mariah Faith weighed only 2 pounds.  Immediately, both of our twins were rushed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  Within a week Mariah stabilized and we were able to bring her home after being in the hospital for seven weeks.

[http://image01.netatlantic.com/go/1450/TWINS3.jpg]Miracle Joy was a different story.  The first week it was touch and go.  At birth, most babies loose a little bit of weight.  Miracle dropped from one pound down to 12 ounces.  She was so small I was able to fit my wedding band on her leg at the top of her thigh.

Miracle’s veins were so tiny and fragile that within a week of her birth they were failing.  She had no place left on her body where an IV could be inserted.  She looked like her precious little body couldn’t possibly hold on to life one minute longer.  However, we continued to hold on to the promises of God’s Word.

The physicians resorted to a Central Line Placement, running it through her arm into the only tiny vein which would accommodate this line.  It went up through her chest and over to her heart.  The doctor’s informed us that for a normal size baby this was a standard procedure but for a 12 ounce baby this was a major surgery.

The procedure was a success but the next morning at 3:00 am we received a call from Dr. Voelker, a hospital staff physician.  She explained that they had completely lost Miracle’s heart rate and blood pressure.  A medication to stimulate her body was administered but Miracles body did not respond.  In an attempt to revive her, the doctor performed chest compressions like they do for someone who is suffering a heart attack.  Miracle’s body was so small the doctor had to administer the chest compressions with her thumbs.

Dr. Voelker said on the phone, “Miracle is alive right now but you need to come to the hospital and be with her as quickly as you can.  We are not sure what is going to happen.”

Angie and I rushed to the hospital!  There laid Miracle with tubes was running in and out of her nose, mouth and navel.  Tubes and needles were running in and out of her arms and legs.  She even had a wire coming out of the top of her head.  Her little body was gray, her stomach was bloated and she looked like death.

I reached down to touch her and the doctor grabbed my wrist to stop me.  She said, “Not only can you not hold her, (We were not able to HOLD her until she was 2 ½ months old.), but you can’t even touch her right now.  The least bit of stimulation could cause her to go into cardiac arrest.”

[http://www.jesuspictures.co/crossgod112.jpg]As her daddy, I wanted to reach down and take her in my arms and hold her close to me.  God spoke to my heart and said, “Tim, this is just a small example of what I experienced when I had to leave my ONLY Son hanging on that cross to make the way of salvation for you.”

None of us can comprehend the love that God had for His only son hanging on the cross. I believe the reason why God turned his back on his only son is so that He wouldn't have to turn His back on you and me. I'm convinced that if God would have looked down at His only son hanging on that tree that the long arm of God would have reached across time and eternity and ripped those nails and spikes out of his hands and his feet. He would have lifted the crown of thorns off of his head. The son of God would have been born into the arms of God back into Heaven where He really belonged. God turned His back on His only Son hanging on that old rugged cross so that He wouldn't have to turn His back on you and me.

Jesus went to hell for you on that cross. You will notice that the things Jesus is saying from the cross are the same things the people of hell are saying. Jesus said, "I thirst." That what the rich man said in Luke 16. Matthew 8:12 said that in hell there is weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth. The bible says that hell is a place of outer and eternal darkness. No doubt people in hell are screaming out, "My God my God why hast thou forsaken me?"

As we prepare to celebrate Easter let’s remember the ultimate price that Jesus paid when He went to the cross. The cross of calvary is the symbol of our Christian walk. Not a couch, not a cadillac, not a corvette and not a credit card…but the Cross. And then…THANK GOD…He is the only spiritual leader who has risen from the dead. The greatest news ever known to mankind came from a cemetery…HE'S ALIVE!!!!

When she was in second grade doctors diagnosed some swelling in her neck as a thyroid condition called hoshimoto. We've had her in Monroe, West Monroe, Shreveport, Bastrop, running tests, blood work, scans, monitoring the condition and have not yet determined what course of action to take. She hasn't had any pain until about a month ago. Now the pain is excruciating! She is a high school senior and has had to miss school because of the overwhelming pain. WE NEED A MIRACLE!!! Please pray with us that BY HIS STRIPES MARIAH IS HEALED!!! I'm not depending on doctors I'm depending on God! Really need your prayers. Thank you for praying and getting prayer warriors praying.

During the National Truth for Youth Week on American Family Radio scheduled for August 13-17, we broke our previous records and give away more Bibles than all previous years to teenagers who committed to give them to their unsaved friends in school.

Through the American Family Radio Campaign in the past 11 years, we have given almost 600,00 Truth for Youth Bibles! Since the Lord laid on my heart to design the Truth for Youth Bible, we have given away a total of more than 1.5 million TFY.

As a result of these soul winning efforts, we have received decision coupons and emails in the past 12 months from 1,975 young people that have been saved!!! More than 12,000 have been saved since we began the TFY Project in the past 14 years. Masses of young people are coming to the Lord as we receive these testimonies on a regular basis.

INDIA ANSWERS THE CALL OF GOD WITH A HEART FELT CRY...

"WE WILL POSSESS THE LAND!"

Our open air India Crusade in Palayamkottai brought a rich harvest of souls.  We thank the Lord that literally thousands of souls were saved.  What a joy in heaven over every sinner saved and every soul delivered from the clutches of Satan.   The Holy Spirit of God fell so strong in each service.

In this powerful crusade we witnessed hundreds of people being healed.  One man testified, “For the past five years I was unable to walk.  Now after prayer at the crusade, I have started to walk.  I felt my nerves being pulled.  God has touched my nerves.”  One lady who had been mute from birth was instantly healed.  The very first word she spoke was, “JESUS”.  She testified for a very long time.  I guess, after not speaking for 38 years she had a lot to say.  The crowd was roaring praises to the Lord!

It has become evident to me that India is entering a new spiritual era.  Things have changed so much for the better.  Last year’s crusade in Coimbatore was a complete success.  However, it is safe to say that this is the mightiest move of God I have ever witnessed.  An army of God’s people in India are ready to answer the call of God to “possess the land.”

[INDIA_08_201.JPG]Pastors from other parts of India came to the crusade and pled with me to come to their cities for crusades as well.  It is not the call from “little Macedonia” but a heart rending cry from the huge India Subcontinent.
I believe God wants to consume all of India with His Holy Spirit.  It can only take place with the fire and the power from above.

Fire is not an extra, a reward for good service, or a spiritual luxury.  The Holy Spirit fire is not reserved just for the super-spiritual believers.  God does not keep His fire only for those who prove themselves, or keep all the evangelical rules of perfection.  Our need makes us worthy to receive!  It is God’s gift to all, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh.”  Fire is our first requirement if we are to be effective witnesses.  His will is our future.  Outside His will there is nothing.  If we don’t follow His purposes we are wasted products; scraps on the workroom floor.
