We are involved in an epic spiritual battle of historic proportions that will bring our nation to its knees – either in prayer to Almighty God, or bowing down to negative cultural and religious influences that are undermining the very soul of our nation!

I shudder to write this message, but I feel strongly that I must – Mat.

The evidence is clear: We are engaged in a battle to the death. We must turn the tide or our nation as we know it, and as it was envisioned by prior generations of patriots, will be forever lost.

Last fall, following the elections that gave Barack Obama and his agenda another four years, there was a significant empowerment of the liberal “progressive” elements in American politics.

The New York Times reported it this way…

“Christian conservatives, for more than two decades a pivotal force in American politics, are grappling with Election Day results that repudiated their influence and suggested that the cultural tide — especially on gay issues — has shifted against them.”

Of course, the New York Times has a decided tilt to the left in their perspective, but there is no denying that immoral forces in our society have gained momentum since the 2012 elections.

++Barack Obama’s promise of “change” is also changing the moral landscape.

Mr. Obama has been referred to as “America’s first gay president” because of his dramatic advancement of the homosexual agenda in our nation.

Now, marriage as we know it is literally hanging in the balance and could easily be forever changed.

With that said, I am honestly shocked that we have less than 40,000 signers who are standing with me and over 250 faith leaders in our Marriage Solidarity statement<http://www.libertyaction.org/r.asp?U=308773&RID=40012624>, which declares that we believe and stand unified in the God-ordained institution of marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

How can we remain silent when the very foundation of family and God’s created order is being mocked? How can we not act when such a destructive policy confronts our generation?

As a former pastor and head of one of America’s leading public interest law firms, I am continually informed of trends and cultural shifts that impact our core beliefs and our liberty.

I can unequivocally say that unless the church rises up, the demise of America is less than a generation away.

++America needs God now more than ever!
